A friend posted a verse today that was very intriguing to me, and very timely:
"Every word of God proves true, he is a shield to those who take refuge in him." Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God proves true. The ramifications of that truth is astounding. There is absolutely no room for doubt in that statement. Last time I checked, the word every still meant all, everything, none excluded!
So if EVERY word of God proves true, then the promises he gives us will also prove true.
Ephesians 1:3 - he blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus
Philippians 4:19 - God will supply all our needs
Matthew 11:28 - God will give us rest
Hebrews 3:13 - we won't be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin
and those are just off the top of my tired mind.
Think about it though. This verse has life changing implications: EVERY word of God proves true. Where do you battle unbelief in regards to God's word? What anxieties or worries do you toil with that God's works speaks directly too?
How does this verse impact you? What are its implications for you? How will your life be different tomorrow because of this truth?
